The CFR Junior Board
The Junior Board is a volunteer council of young professionals representing major law firms, financial institutions,
nonprofit organizations, and more. The Junior Board was launched in 2007 to support CFR and has been
instrumental in its growth and success.
Members promote and advocate on behalf of CFR through various fundraising and volunteering initiatives, provide relevant
professional and technical assistance, and attract new friends to the organization. Junior Board members have
the opportunity to build leadership skills, learn about child welfare issues and challenges facing nonprofit family
service organizations in New York City, and participate in committees with the
CFR Board of Directors.
Current Junior Board projects include a Back-to-School Backpack Drive for the children of CFR's clients, a Holiday Party
and Gift Drive in which hundreds of gifts and toys are distributed to CFR families, and Jeans for Families, a fundraising
campaign involving law firms citywide. The group is constantly evolving and welcomes new members with diverse
