The CFR Leadership Council
The Leadership Council was launched in 2007 to support CFR's growing organization.
The Council engages in invaluable fundraising activities and in-kind donation drives, provides
professional and other technical assistance, attracts new friends to the organization, and promotes
and advocates on behalf of CFR.
Members have the opportunity to build leadership skills while learning about child welfare legal
issues and challenges facing non-profit family service organizations in New York City.
The group is continually evolving as members encourage friends and colleagues to take part in meetings,
activities and events.
In 2008, The Council will be spearheading several projects including a summer backpack collection for
children returning to school, a baby supply drive, and support for teen parents living in foster care.
The Council will also hold fundraisers and work on CFR's annual Client Holiday Celebration.
