2014 has just begun, but CFR is already on the road working to improve parent representation efforts nationwide. On Friday, January 10th, CFR Executive Director Susan Jacobs and Board Member Martin Guggenheim were presenters in a Symposium on achieving Quality Parent Representation at Casey Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland. The program included a panel highlighting CFR’s and two law school clinics’ success in working with parents, as well as a round table discussion with Ohio officials and practitioners on how to apply these successes to improve representation in Ohio.
Jacobs and Guggenheim were joined by New York City Family Court Judge Ronald E. Richter and representatives from the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law and the Center for Social Policy. We look forward to continuing to provide our expertise nationally to ensure that parents around the country can receive quality legal representation.
